| To observe the World Environment Day 2009 celebrations, Ministry of Environment & Forest organized 2 day (5-6 June) long ‘National Environment Fair 2009’ in the Osmani Memorial Hall, Dhaka. Sheikh Hasina, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh inaugurated the Environment Fair as Chief Guest on 5th June instant. LGED participated and displayed environment friendly renewable energy technology solutions in the fair. In the closing ceremony on 6th June, LGED’s stall was recognized as the best one amidst 73 stalls of different public & private organizations. Advocate Mostafizur Rahman, MP, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Environment & Forests handed over the crest for First prize to Mir Tanweer Husain, Project Manager, Sustainable Rural Energy (SRE).
